Imagination Challenge: 365 Daily Practices to Reach Your Potential

Welcome to the A Year Living with Your Imagination Challenge! Rooted in positive psychology interventions, imagination and creativity research, cognitive behavioral theory, and mindfulness-based practices, the goal is to help you achieve sustainable change through intentional and continuous practice.

Starting on Monday March 2, 2026, and for the next 365 days, I will post one daily evidence-based practice designed to strengthen your imagination, deepen your inner development, and cultivate optimism so you can reach your potential and pursue your dreams.

By adopting a daily practice, you will start seeing results in a week –
but you must put in the effort every day – even if at first, the exercises seem pointless or challenging!

Join the challenge and break with ingrained habits that hinder your imagination to take control of your emotions and cognitive abilities!

How the challenge works

There are seven categories of practices – each covering core cognitive mechanisms, thinking styles, behaviors, and human skills that foster imagination, inner growth, and emotional intelligence:

Practices take between 5 to 30 minutes to complete – with the option to extend them as long as you want. Each day focuses on one area of practice, with some exercises repeating for sustained practice. The last day of the week aims at helping you intentionally make a change in your life to build a new habit and shift your mindset.

Make the most of the experience

  • TIP #1: Allocate a Daily Imagination Time. Set aside dedicated time each day to engage with the interventions. Through continuous practice, you will develop a routine that prioritizes imagination.
  • TIP #2: Keep an Imagination Journal. A journal serves as a dedicated space to record your experiences, ideas, dreams, questions, and struggles, encouraging a regular practice. Chose a format for your journal that inspires you — I would suggest using a physical one, with blank, unlined pages to encourage unconstrained thinking! The physical act of writing and drawing helps solidify thoughts and ideas. Add the date!

Have fun, wonder, daydream, and play!
