Wikipedia defines a ‘Change’ as ‘The process of becoming different’, in many ways. Change is also defined as ‘something that presses us out of our comfort zone’. When we feel the need for a change? ‘Change is needed when all the props and practices of the past no longer work.’ We could add that everything is in constant change, but the magnitude of the change is what determines its impact. There is usually a gap between the decision of making a change and the actual action of doing it. ‘Change happens in the heart before it is proclaimed by our works.’
‘Change is awkward — at first (…) [It] has an adjustment period which varies on the individual. It is uncomfortable, for changing from one state to the next upsets our control over outcomes.’ It is often said that we need to be open and flexible. ‘Even a roller coaster ride can be fun if you know when to lean and create new balance within the change.’ We may need lot of little time to assimilate something different and get used to the new situation, but eventually we do.
Particularly, I like to think that changes are always good. After more than 4 years I have decided that it was time for a BIG change in the layout of my blog. Same content, different form (in progress!).
